British Prime Minister Boris #Johnson told #France on Wednesday to get a grip and give allies in the #UnitedStates and Australia a break over a row about a trilateral nuclear submarine deal that tore up a separate French contract. The new defence partnership between Britain, the United States and Australia was announced last week and will give Australia access to nuclear powered #submarine technology.

I'm English and I know the French have been treated badly. They should be used to it too. The Lancaster House Treaty the UK made with the French in 2010 was a step in the right direction yet still the UK didn't honour part of it. And the USA shafts the UK too whenever it wishes.

It's a bit rich that Johnson gets to lecture anyone on anything, ever. That squirrel has more integrity than him.

If France had been invited when Australia approached the UK in March, after which the US state department was spoken to in April we all know that their reaction would not have been to be pleased to have been invited by strong allies to a joined up approach; but instead we know full well they would have done everything in their power to destroy it before birth.
Their reaction when AUKUS was announced validates the approach to leave them in the dark, and they will likely be left out for good in that part of the world.
