have to disagree with you on this one, Carson. I always play it called 'teacher says', and only use it in young beginner classes. the kids need to reply with the proper tpr responses. ...I agree with you that the part about trying to trick the kids isn't so good. but I guarantee you that this game can be useful in teaching listening skills.

ps. my pet peeve is 'hangman'. I hate that game.

Thanks for the video, but your take on Simon Says is completely mistaken.
Simon Says "Leave the room", for example, is a great way to teach "leave", and practice the differentce between "live" and "leave".
Simon Says "cooperate with someone". Simon says "apologize". etc.
Simon Says can literally cover every word in the English language.
