I recently bought a 2024 Z Performance w/6-speed manual. I bought it with 6000 miles on it, so I got it for substantially below MSRP. This is my 5th Z car, and I love it. It reminds me of all the prior generations of Z car at once. The exterior styling has cues from every single generation of Z. I think Nissan knocked the styling out of the park. They went back to the original Z logo and exterior badge placement, which is the right kind of nostalgia.

This is probably the final generation of internal combustion Z car, and I love what Nissan did with it. They're keeping the production numbers quite low as well. Nissan is only building about 100 of these per month, so you don't see them on the road very often. I'm so happy that Nissan decided to build this car.

Great video! Nissan did some good work, it's not about ten's of a second on the track, it's about enjoying your drive daily.

“You’re gonna want to have a car that makes you look forward to driving it again tomorrow.” What a line

The 90s 300ZX has the best looking tail lights treatment of all Z cars, for me.

This channel is definitely gonna blow up!

Anyone that has the sentiment you mentioned in the intro understands what being a car enthusiast is all about

It’s not selling for sure, haven’t spotted one yet in sunny Southern California. I’m not sure if it will survive the next update coming up just a few years.

The Nissan z is a revival of the s30, it looks amazing. The Nissan z sounds amazing with cold air intakes and a borla exhaust. However the base trim is the only one worth getting. It’s the lightest variant, has manual, and you would’ve upgraded all of its “performance parts” to better ones anyways. The vr30 is an amazing engine.

Love your reviews, Hanson. I've owned a 370z and am waiting for the right time to buy the new Z.

Nice review. Hi from London. I had the 280ZX twin targa in the early '80s, a super low, smooth lined, 300ZX twin turbo, twin targa, 4 wheel steer in the early 2000s. This needs a targa. Sadly, they won't be coming to the UK

Fender is on the front. The rear is the quarter panel. The name implies the location.

The Mazda MX5 Miata cup holders are brilliant actually. You can move them around if you want to.

Is there a law in Japan that says all cars must have a ridiculously huge front grill?
Examples;
Yaris
Camry
Mazda 3,
and now this thing.
I think they were trying to make it look slightly
menacing.
But, ended up making a car that looks
like a fish trying to
catch food.

Watching this makes me love my S550 Mustang GT even more. It's so versatile, looks sexy as hell, it's fast, has a huge trunk and I have a rear seat even if small I can fit short people back there. I like the new Z but it's not versatile enough and hate the front end. The side and tail looks amazing but that front end just kills it for me. Funny enough, I hate the rear end of the new 2024 Mustang but love the new front end.

The new z is nice but I don’t think it will ever look better than a 350z/370z it’s just different 😭😭

Maybe someday but right now I'll stick with my 370Z for a while, quite a while. Mine is a 2020 and while the design is old it still - breaks necks - and is timeless, IMO. For me the looks of the new Z does not resonate, although seeing it in person could help. I also like the naturally aspirated engine in the 370. The dealerships don't help...

When are car reviewers going to question why it is nearly impossible to find a new 2023 Z to purchase? What the heck is the hold up?

Love the look of the Z. My only gripe with the design is the katana accent…wish Nissan would offer a blackout or dark chrome version (less distracting, especially on a black car). Don’t know why Nissan went with a completely new front bumper on the NISMO when they could’ve simply added a full mesh grill and corner air vents…the new front end now looks like a BRZ/GR86 (not bad, just not unique). And hopefully the aftermarket can fix the manual gearbox. I would still choose the Z over the Supra…can’t stand fake vents, let alone the wind buffeting.

Full disclosure: When I met my wife in 1996, she was driving a new 300Z. (I'm a lucky guy! 🥰) I just bought a 2024 Nissan Z 1 week ago. As our narrator noted, online images of the Z absolutely DO NOT do justice with respect to seeing the car in-person. That was my experience when I saw my Z in the Showroom. The 2nd day I had the car, I came out of our local organic market to find a young gentleman videoing my new Z. (He was driving a Porsche Cayenne) I look forward to driving my Z each day, and I look forward to meeting a lot of new auto enthusiasts each time I go for a ride. I will admit that within the 1st week of owning my 2024 Z, I am searching for an upgraded Cat-Back. Leaning to the Borla Atak! 🤓
