Sometimes it’s best to build your own tools or at least tweak existing tools . Sometimes my excuse is I got to fix the tool before I can fix the guitar. You guys thanks for what you do.

Cool Shit Sean 😮
I spent 5 years in school and have a degree in manufacturing and the tools you made with your own MANOS 🖐️ are the buisness bro 🎸!

I knew the first time I watched one of your videos that you were a dad gummed genius! This just proves how good a judge I am.

A truly visual demonstration of the old adage, "Necessity is the mother of invention." Very cool!

Love for you to talk about your wood working and machinery background. I can tell you have years and years of experience. I have always loved machine shops.

I've been wanting an X-Carve CNC for a long time. I bought most of the things to build my own. Just need another set of linear bearings, the stepper motors, drivers, breakout boards, motherboard, etc. Basically all the electronics & a set of linear bearings. It's a project I started gathering parts for maybe 7 or 8 years ago, then put on the back burner.

Hey Shawn, I didn’t get to record the stuff I was able to do for my electric fender I got from Zeny on Amazon last year for my birthday. But I wanted to say thank you so much for showing us all how you repair and fix these Amazon products. My guitar sounds better and cleaner. I still need to intoneate the thing. It’s sharp when I get into the higher frets. But I can tell you it still sounds 100💯 better after adjusting the neck. I’m waiting for my fret tools and radius sanded block to do the frets. So thank you so much for all you and Kathy do, and all the cool things I’m learning from your channel. I am so happy I found it and stuck around. Now I don’t miss any episodes ever.

My favorite is the radius jig. A perfect fret job every time. And any radius. Any scale length. That is really, really cool!

I made a few jigs and tools myself during the covid lockdowns. Necessity and budgets are the mothers of invention. LOVE your rigs! This is why I subbed to your channel in the first place. To learn something I could use.

Well done!! If you do any work, eventually you'll need a tool that you don't have. Don't just run to the store and spend a ton. Do the Scarred way and make your own it it's possible. It'll be exactly what you need and you'll have more pride in your work. Plus you can help others and that's a great feeling.
Great advice, thanks Shawn, !!!

Killer! I'm a retired machinist, cnc programmer and you're absolutely right. Setting up that cnc takes longer than some simple router fixtures. I do the same thing. I have to make my own tools too. It's good to see that I'm not the only one doing things that way. Whatever works.

That's what I mean when I say your the 'Bob Ross' of guitar builders...your non-standard tools & techniques are on paar with Bob's use of on-standard paints brushes and painting techniques. Way to think outside the box. 👍

Thank you for sharing your knowledge. It really does make it simpler for me. I'm just starting out but I always want to be a Luther but my thing is bass guitars 8 like to see you build one on your show. That would be cool and that somebody is thinking about the forgotten bass players
Peace . Vinny
