In the 80's my wife and I, with 3 others had a country rock band and we played all the bars along the Snake River from Weiser to Jordan Valley and Snowbird was the most requested tune...All the couples would hit the dance floor and go cheek to cheek....while the old cowboys at the bar would cry in their beer....

I was born in 1980! This song was always "magical" to me even 54 years later! A favorite classic from the great miss murray! One of best exports to hit the American music industry! They just dont write simple, lyrics, simple songs, simple instruments and more! dimple

My Mom LOVED Anne Murray, we played this song at her funeral. And Blue Bayou by Linda Ronstadt. 
i heard so much of this and other great oldies but goodies because of my Mom, and I feel blessed to have been introduced to such wonderful music. Great song!

This song is so fitting for my dog who has passed away yesterday.. 15 years ago we got him in December and he passed away in the summer.. He flew away taking that wonderful winter day away with him... Man I sure do miss him so much..
