What a great song. It's really different. It was ahead of its time. I was a sophomore in high school when this came out. It has a very haunting sound for a love song. The chords are quite dark. The vocal track had a lot of delay in it. The simple but dark keyboard solo in the middle of the song really adds to the song. It really made me think twice about what a good ballad could and should sound like. I really dig how the outro to the song extends for about a minute. That was something you never really heard before in a love song before this song came along. It gives you time to really appreciate the music without the vocals. It was something I had never really heard in a ballad before.

I have the best memory of this song, my mom was babysitting and the baby she was taking care of loved this song! We had no idea. I started playing it one day and he dropped his toy and started baby talking and smiling. Whenever he was fussy I would put it on and start singing it!
