Law of Sines and Law of Cosines (Complete Guide)

In this video lesson we go through 12 examples showing you how to work with the law of sines and the law of cosines. We discuss how to solve for a missing side or missing angle in a non-right triangle. We also discuss how to completely solve a triangle by finding all the missing sides and missing angles. We also discuss how to recognize when to use the Law of Sines or the the Law of Cosines. Furthermore, we dive into the SSA ambiguous case where there is the potential for 1, 2, or no triangle possible.

Absolutely excellent, thank you! One little correctuon I would request however is to use Alpha, Beta, and Theta for angles, or XYZ for sides. The reason being is that capital C and lowercase c look exactly the same and in equations they are incredibly easy for kids to get mixed up. Using one of the other two options makes it FAR easier to follow the equations and keep kids from getting lost.
