In this video, Coach Beth demos how to properly perform Eccentric Ankle Dorsiflexion.

- stand on a plate or a heavy KB (KB needs to be heavy enough so you don’t wobble), plate should be high enough that you can lower yourself all the way to the ground in full dorsiflexion
- holding onto something for support, slowly lower the heel towards the floor until you are fully dorsiflexed
- push your knee forward slowly and with control, until you feel a good stretch in your calf and hold for a few seconds.
- release the stretch and use your non-working leg to help get you back up to the top
- repeat for prescribed # of reps on both sides
