I have had my Lyriq for about a month now and absolutely love it! I test drove the Tesla Model Y a few times before taking delivery of my Lyriq, all though the Tesla was much more fun to drive the interior was a deal breaker for me. The inside of the Lyriq looks gorgeous inside and rides so smooth.

I love these family reviews that you all do with non Tesla brands. I feel like you're totally fair and honest with each vehicle and you don't hold back criticism where needed, which is refreshing! Thanks for the video!

The Lyriq is mush better looking in person than watching it here.

My wife just got the 2024 Lyriq. While it's great, it's currently already in the shop. One pedal driving isn't working, among other things. We got the 2023 Lyriq as a loaner and THAT ONE's one pedal driving broke, as well as google maps not working. It also complained about other issues, which I can't remember at the moment. I told my wife this might be the case, since it's such a bleeding edge car, but she didn't care and didn't want a Tesla under any circumstances, so here we are.

I think the main difference between the Tesla and the Lyric is ride quality. The Tesla is somewhat noisy and austere. The Lyric is the quietest, smoothest riding car I’ve driven. I consider my Lyric a combination of three cars I’ve loved in the past. My Porsche, my Audi and my LINCOLN CONTINENTAL. It has a responsive ride, lots of zip and lots of luxury … as well reasonable room for a family.

I have never heard anyone say it’s the Tesla of anything that was a reach lol 😆

Thanks for doing this real world end-to-end for us! I had no idea they had a Cadillac in this good of shape for an EV, videos like this will help get GM in gear on the charging experience.

Hey Kim! Good News. With an OTA update Tesla changed the emergency door handle to automatically lowering the windows so it is no longer harmful to use it. I would rather just use the button (as Tesla owners know) but if a guest doesn't get the lecture, they will no longer cause problems with the seals! Give it a try now on your Teslas!

My introduction to EV's was a 2012 Chevrolet Volt. It was one of the best cars I ever owned. We bought a new 2021 Model Y. The fits, finish, and build quality were much better on the Chevrolet. The Model Y is a ton more fun to drive. As soon as Cadillac changes their charging system, I would love to test drive one. There is no way a Model Y, X, or S interiors can compare to the luxury of the Lyriq.

Nice to see a regular family with kids. Many electric car reviews feature only adults or older kids, but younger children feature unique challenges. The only part you missed in this review was cleaning the car after your trip. :)

3:57 The charge door opening mechanism looks arthritic when it opens 😂

There’s an adapter you can buy separately so you can use Tesla chargers. If I were to buy a Lyriq, I’d definitely be buying the adapter.

Lyriq is probably more compatible with the X over the Y

I use my Model Y frunk every day. Having a frunk is a huge plus for me.

I never had any issues with charging stations and in my area there are plenty free and paid charging stations. Went from 38% to 80% with a dc fast charging in a little over an hour. Would buy this over a Tesla any day. Love it and recently got a level 2 charger at home. Curious as to why you got home too late to charge…the best time to charge is when you’re sleeping.

I’ll tell you want I don’t care with this video says about it and I haven’t even watched it yet, but I would take Cadillac any day of the week over a Tesla hands-down no debating needed! L O L

I use the front trunk all the time! I put take out food in there. My M3 is 7 months old and it still smells brand new. And I’m not a parent 😊
