Big up Asafa. Well deserved. Mr Babsy, the JLP politicise everything. "This adminstration" thats all we hear from the JLP. We can leave some things out of politics. No one have done more for sport than Portia Simpson Miller.

Do you know that those JLP party government members who was opposing the PNP party government for building the national stadium, in 1960s for the independence in 1962 on August 6th. The same JLP party as opposition was saying that PNP party government was wasting taxpayers money, because they were not looking ahead of times and. The stadium have helped hundreds of Jamaican poor children, because a lot of them got scholarships to various universities in the United States. Which makes them a very useful adults to the development of Jamaica, and other countries where some of the athletes is now living. A statue for Norman Manley should be erected at the national stadium, for building the national stadium as a very good athlete while attending JC, and won 6 races in one day.He sets the bar for all Jamaicans athletes, also his son Duglas Manley who ran 10second in 100 yards at Sabina Park in Jamaica in 1941.So it is very long time Jamaicans been running fast, because Norman Manley ran 10second in 100 yards at Sabina Park in Jamaica in 1911.It is not many athletes ran 10second in 100m at all, so it was a very good achievement in those days until now.

You see what am saying that everyday the Jamaican dollar is devaluing so rapidly, that it is causing internal inflation on the people of Jamaica. I would like to know how the government is going to control crimes, when the Jamaican dollar is continuing devaluing. The Bank of Jamaica is doing a very, very poor job over the years, because the Governor of the bank . Does not know the intricacies about how to control the sliding of the Jamaican dollar, because they does not have any form of mechanisms in place to counteract the sliding of the currency .
With the sliding of the Jamaican dollar everyday, I want to know how much lower the dollar Can go.

I am really happy for Asafa Powell the an building of his statue, but the government must realized that track and field is not the only sport in Jamaica. Some people fail to accept that Jamaican been running 10 seconds in 100m, more than 109 years. Both Norman Manley in 1911 , and son Douglas Manley ran 10second in 100 yards at Sabina Park in Jamaica in 1941.
So this is nothing new, only because some people does not know the intricacies about Jamaica history in track and field. The 1st Jamaican women to win a gold medal at the Olympics, is Deon Hemmings and she is over showed by the younger generation in Jamaica. The government must remembered the foundation member of the sports in Jamaica, who been carrying the candlestick before these younger generation was born. I know it is very much impossible for everyone to get a statues, but the older generation in Jamaica should be given some form of recognition for years of services to the country. If men in Jamaica was running 10 seconds in 100 yards at Sabina Park in Jamaica from those days, if them did continues. They would have broken the 10second long ago, only because after school more people put down track and field. Because in those days there were nothing to gained from it like now, it was only fun to showed your motions. I am not taking away nothing from these younger generation in Jamaica, because they are running for money now. Not like in my days was for fun, and to showed how good you was, not like now most people is professional runners and. Making big money, Donald Quarrie never makes no money for all the years running for Jamaica.
