Hacienda Yaxcopoil in Merida, Yucatan, Mexico is a magical Hacienda dating back to the 1800's. My family and I went there this summer to explore what this huge Hacienda had to offer. We also were able to see the machine room located behind the Hacienda. In order to do this, you must ask one of the grounds-keepers to allow you to see it. They will become your tour guide at this point, and will teach you all about the Hacienda. If you choose to have one of the grounds-keepres help you, make sure and tip them $30-$50 pesos.
