In this video we look at how small a board game can be. There are many tiny board games out there that pack a huge punch.
A Fake Artist Goes to New York is a party game for up to 10 players where it plays out in similar vein to games like Spyfall. One player acts as the game master and writes a word identically on everyones cards except for one player who receives an X. All of the players also known as the 'real artists' know what the answer is whilst the player with the X does not know what the answer is.
Across the game, each player is going be taking turns using their designated coloured marker to draw a single line on the central art canvas. Players take turn doing this to collectively draw the image that the game master has chosen. The player who has an X must act like they are a real artist and try and come across as an artist who knows the secret word.
The fake artist has a limited time to deduce what everyone is drawing. They do have the topic to draw upon. If the players after two rounds do not pick the fake artist, the fake artist wins. If the fake artist is chosen, the fake artist has one last chance to guess the key word. If they guess the key word correctly, the fake artist wins!
The Board Game Sanctuary is a family friendly board game channel that aims to introduce the board gaming hobby to new and seasoned players in a light, fun and humourous way.
