Great video again Brandon. Between you and Vino Farm it is giving me the confidence to hopefully journey into Beekeeping myself next spring. I live in Northern Alberta so my situation would be completely different in the times of season and temps. But still good to see other peoples challenges as they grow in their experiences

I recommend, after killing the bees in this way, that you count them the first few times you do it to make sure your sampling right around 300. It's awfully hard to get it right as they crawl around and seem like way more.

Screw varroa mites, man. Ugh, so annoying. Sucks that you've gotta off that many bees just to test, but I get it. Can't lose the hive. Hope you continue to have good luck this year!

Enjoyed watching your video here on the other side (almost) of the planet (Germany). We do the same thing (varroa mite testing) here as well but beekeeping is less hard here due to more moderate (cold) temperatures. :-) Thank you.

You might want to grab a ladies WIDE cotton headband, they work wonders keeping sweat out of my eyes..
I wouldn't work with that alcohol over the hive.. a little mistake could spell BIG trouble

Hardware cloth wire mesh 2 jars with lids on them. Both cut out nearly to the edge that will hold the wire mesh. Hot glue or super glue that in place. Hot glue or super glue the 2 lids together. $20 bucks is not my cup of tea. I made mine in under 5 minutes. 2 peanut butter jars [PLASITIC]
