I will never forget getting off the train at Brighton Beach and walking down the stairs onto street level. I felt two things: holy shit, I'm in GTA 4, and holy shit, I'm in Russia.

Here's to the lad's lovely nanna. May she sell many a key chain for years to come.

I grew up in Brighton Beach in the 50’s and 60’s. Before the big Russian/Ukrainian immigration explosion. Even though my grandparents were from Russia. But I loved growing up near the beach. Great video. Makes me very nostalgic.

After watching this video, I am homesick. When my Dad retired in 1987 my folks moved into Trump Village on W4th and Brighton beach Ave. They had that apartment until my Mom's passing in 2016.Used to love coming back to Brooklyn from Atlanta. Miss my Mom and Brighton Beach, not to mention going to the beach every summer from a very early age. With Parents, then friends then dates....

Thanks for this. My parents immigrated from Lithuania (was part of the Soviet Union) in 1971, and winded up in the same area as your parents. Brings back memories ❤️

European here. Stayed for 12 days in an airbnb near Manhattan Beach with a Russian family last year and explored NYC from there. Slept like a baby, quiet area, exotic restaurants not far. Wonderful time!

Great video, my parents were raised in Brighton Beach from the mid 1930s to the mid 1950s. I would go every day in the summer in the 1960s and 70s to visit my grandmother and hang out at the beach. I really miss Mrs Stahl's knishes.

This is the first place I wanna visit when I go to NYC someday, it’s my dream to go to NYC but this area specifically (Brighton Beach NYC) is really nice, and I’m also a lover of all foods but the food in Brighton Beach is really appetising 😍 peace from Melbourne, Australia 😊🇦🇺

Omg, who are these guys? They seem like awesome tour guides!!! I’m from San Francisco and grew up with kids from Russia and Ukraine back in the mid-80s, and I was exposed to grandmas, sour cream, and pelmeni. 😂The Russian community in SF is small but this video melts my heart, I can’t wait to check out Brighton Beach.

Brighton Beach is beautiful, also the Board walk. To be in Russia, a whole new world. I understand you moved out of Manhattan. The view is lovely....
