Full credit to him for his honesty and his great TV doc Drinkers Like Me, which highlighted this major issue.

Drinking everyday, liver problems, denial there's a real issue... I never got into trouble (yet), I've not woken up in a shop doorway (yet), the forever hope to drink normally paradigm... this all happened to me and progressed. My advice for anyone is get to AA you will soon realise if you are an alcoholic there. I'm 7 months clean after 30+ years of Bingeing (and believe you me it gets worse) it's the best thing I ever did as I view life completely differently without the need for a drink.

I mean he makes a good point. Most people do not want to stop drinking, and it's silly to expect everyone who has an issue with drinking to stop. People don't want to stop drinking. They want to not experience negative health effects. I'm glad he's moving forward with moderation instead of complete abstinence to show its a viable option

I've always liked Adrian Chiles .He's had a drinking problem. I'm not blaming him .Alcohol is so so addictive. I have a similar problem too. I'm trying to beat it as he is. But it's so hard to do.i just hope Adrian and me can do it!!

I’ve watched the documentary and the Dr clearly tells him he has moderate fibrosis - the next step is Cirrhosis. He’s a fair bit on from a fatty liver…

Cutting him off like that at the end when he was discussing a serious mental health issue was really rude and disrespectful.

you've got to ask why you're drinking in the first place. what is it about reality that you're trying to avoid?

It’s like saying we’ll I’ve cut down on my smokes, I only have five a day instead of a pack . Just a matter of time before it turns into a pack again . That applies to drinking you’ve either quit or you haven’t and there’s always triggers, so get help to stop completely

It must be expensive as well to drink that much

Seems to me that Adrian found the root cause of his need to drink

This guy is in very bad denial. I watched his documentary and kudos for being honest on it, but he's downplaying the liver scan he had. The doctor said he had fibrous of the liver. That is the next step past fatty liver as he tells here. You can never deal with your drinking problem until you are 💯 honest. Adrian has a ways to go here.
