Area 51 Airline? | JANET: The Secret Government Airline That Doesn't Exist

JANET AIRLINES. Heard of Janet Airlines? No? Good. That's exactly what the US government wants. One of the government's biggest secrets is hiding in plain sight. In Las Vegas.

Janet is the top-secret government airline that doesn't exist.

Next time you're in Vegas, visit one of the big casinos next to McCarran Airport. I'm talking about Luxor, Excalibur, Mandalay Bay. When you get there, look East at the airport.

All day long, but especially early in the morning and late in the evening; you'll see mysterious planes taking off and landing. You can't miss them. They're big. They're Boeing 737s.

They have no markings. No logos. They're plain white with a single red stripe. This is Janet Airlines.

Janet is a top-secret, air-force owned commuter airline. For civilians.

But the destination Janet goes to the most -- I'm talking a few times a day-- is... Area 51.

I will ALWAYS remember when I was in middle school, i woke up a little late for school one morning. My dad had to take me to school. We lived in Green Valley a suburb in Henderson, just a couple miles away from McCarran Airport. We took a detour on my way to school and stopped at the airport. He parked outside of one of the runways and pointed out a white, unmarked airplane and told me, "look at that plane, that is one of the planes that takes Area 51's employees to and from work!" He was in the Navy for some time in the 70's before i was born and was a calm, gentle and VERY ntelligent man. He passed away a couple years ago and I miss him every day. Thank you for all the father daughter adventures we had dad and all the love, patience and wisdom you taught me❤❤❤

I just took the time and watched a Janet87 flight stop transmitting after 19 minutes at 7800 Elevation. Area 51 is close at 4, 494 ft Elevation. The plane was descending at the time of the transmission stopping. Oddly enough there are no "Take Offs" listed for Area 51 or incoming records to Las Vegas. It takes off and flies everyday going to the same place and turning off the transmission about the same time too. Well done Sleuthing!

I was a Flight Attendant in Vegas in between jobs. Me and my FA friends toyed and talked about becoming FAs for the Janet planes. They were always hiring. Have to sign NDAs, the pay sucked, like $12/hr (2003) have to sit in the jumpseat the whole time and about 4 -6 “turns” a day, part-time, no benefits. Eh, no thanks. One of the perks of being a FA is flight benefits on other airlines as well as your own. Not even health benefits 🤬

Sir,
Your presentation about JANET was interesting. I’m an FAA certified aircraft mechanic, and one of the carriers I’ve worked on was Southern Air Transport (SAT). They’re owned by the CIA and are the predecessor to Air America. Thank you for the content you provide as I significantly enjoy it.

Thank You
Tom

about 12 years ago I was driving a tow truck and had to do an insurance tow in Rachel NV. I stopped at the Lil Alien Inn for breakfast and an unmarked red flatbed semi pulled in with 2 humvees on the deck. 2 fatigued men came in carrying m-16s and sat down to eat. I finished eating and on the way just had to me gentlemen, are you coming to or from Groom?" just the look on their faces was came a simple response. "Sir you know we can't answer that question"

My step dad worked on the Sr -71 back in the 50-60s, we had titanium bolts and washers way before they were even known about, and in the 1980s my sisters boyfriend would fly out of Burbank airport on a unmarked plane to area 51, for days, working as a civilian Engineer with Top Secret cleareance. These stories are very crediable.

To be fair the U.S government denied the existence of Area 51 until 2013, and the only reason they admitted it then was because it was clearly visible from Google Maps 🤣

I was in the AF for 25 years. I worked at Tonopah Air Force Base. I caught those flights to work every day. Occasionally we took a bus. As an Air Traffic Controller, I can tell you that there are a lot of aircraft that are in the air without transponders. And sometimes we ask aircraft to turn them off and then back on, to identify them. Specifically, if their verbal communication is not good.

This is one of the only threads on the internet where noone is hateful and that is saying a lot towards the content. Great channel and keep up the good work.. The amount of research yall do per episode has to be astonishing. Thanks for expanding knowledge and showing different sides while letting people make their own minds up.

As a kid and teen, my family frequented Vegas, so much so that I'd often be dragged along there multiple times a year. Being a minor in Vegas is relatively boring, you might hit up a handful of arcades or something, but mostly you hook up your laptop to the wifi and sit in the hotel room unless you're going to a restaurant. I'd often spend time at my hotel window and watch these white with red stripe airplanes, particularly in the morning hours. I knew what they were from the countless Area 51 conspiracy videos, back in the day it was the Jesse Ventura stuff that was common to watch, I've always had a fascination since my adolescence with the secrecy behind Area 51.

"Except in an emergency, aircraft are required to keep their transponders on." This is true for civil aircraft. The Janet 737s are owned by the US Air Force and FAA rules don't apply to military aircraft, especially if operated in restricted airspace. So, legally, they can turn off the transponder once they enter the restricted airspace around the Nevada Test Site.

The registration for ownership of Janet’s planes is Hill Air Force Base in Utah. Very few people are aware of the western desert test facility that Hill runs. It is nearly impossible to access except by air and the research there is equal to or exceeds Groom Lake.

It would be fascinating if you did an episode on that. I know from 1st hand knowledge about the facility. Weapons developed at Kirkland, White Sands, Groom Lake, etc, are moved to the west desert to be completed or enhanced.

Please do an episode! Love the channel!

I live in Vegas. I can confirm the red stripe area 51 express is common knowledge for locals. Great work like usual. Keep it up.

Interesting, my uncle was in the airforce and may or may not have flown selected people to and from that location for a short period of time. He's also a very religious person and is very sensitive about discussing the experience with family. He carries holy water with him often since then, believing something extremely off-putting is going on there.

My parents have lived in Vegas for all our lives. We live under the take off, flight path. I’ve always watched these planes and wondered what these enigmatic planes were.

I took some classes on Las Vegas when I lived there for 12 years and one of my professors worked there at Area 51 full-time. We asked her and she said that she couldn't confirm or deny if she worked there or not

Oh, this is interesting.
I'm a USAF vet, and I'm a contractor with the Navy now (IT). I worked a weapons job. Saw plenty of Lockheed Martin and Raytheon buses and employees while I was in. It was a bunch of glasses and clipboard types, checking things out. Both bases I worked on were in missile development. I'm not sure about Area 51 specifically, but Eglin and Tyndall both have bomb ranges where they run tests. I suspect Area 51 is a Jet/Plane test site for prototypes, which then stirs up the UFO theories. The B-2 looks the most UFO out of all planes and is quiet for its size. So it all makes sense.
You mentioned Area 52. When logging into a computer in the USAF, it says accessing Area 52. So it covers the IT/cyber space of the Air Force. Fun Fact.

I may have to look into Lockheed, Raytheon, AECOM, and other related companies in the future for job postings.
