There are so many cool things to do in Akihabara, but most of them are for the nerds. If you know a spot from your favorite anime or video game that features Akihabara, you can be sure to find specific items/cafes or anything along the lines for it. You can also generally go and check out the places you saw IRL, which is fun! Akihabara features also one of the few true retro arcades, has a nice speciality shop from Hiroshima near Crossfields, and is close to the Hijiri Bridge, one of the most popular photo spots in Tokyo for train enthusiasts. Also nice to know that the main street turns into a pedestrian zone on Sunday so you can walk and shop more easily.

Good thing to note in Akihabara is that on Sundays when it doesn't rain the main street is blocked to cars from 1pm to 7pm, it's really nice to walk in the middle of the huge street !

The cheapest store for anime figures & games in Akihabara is Trader headquarters. Walked the whole area and they're sometimes half the price of other places

I heard they made it so people on a working holiday visa can get a second year now (maybe only some countries). I dunno if that counts Estonia, or whatever. But maybe you can have a second year... of making a video every day!

If you like miniature painting at all, the Warhammer Cafe is a pretty cool spot to visit in Akiharaba. It's mainly a shop, but it's got miniatures from their painting competitions displayed as well as tables to show the game in action. If you're particularly adventurous you can even do a free tutorial on how to paint one miniature and take it home. Though if you're not really into the whole mini-painting thing it's probably a skip, as it is still just a just shopping space.

On the side street the 9 stories Mandarake and right next to it, the 8 stories Surugaya! Akiba culture zone hosts a big Rashinban and A-stop for used figures. Next to the station radio Kai kan building full of anime figures

Yes. Akihabara is basically a black hole for anything related and if you relax your guard a ton of money will vanish instantly from all the thing you can buy there... XD. You can basically stay there for days and it doesn't matter, there's always something new to watch or try.

Also, there's one restaurant like a few steps (literally the next building) from the GiGo 1 that I liked. The food was really great and the prices were between cheap and average.

Asakusa has a good batting cage in the ROX and its fairly cheap. Trader main building has great deals. Melonbooks is a manga place but has an adult doijinshit and manga in the basement. North of Ueno there is a nice graveyards and a ton of shrines.
