HARDTAIL MTB STEP-UP SESSION!!

Показать описание
I have been itching to ride mtb outdoors, and although it's definitely enduro bike or downhill bike weather, I really wanted to ride my dirt jump hardtail. So I rode the step up at Woburn today and had a sick session, got the tricks done that I wanted and then called it a day to ride my Enduro bike tomorrow. Hope you enjoyed today's video, see you in more MTB videos soon!

Turn the power off, loosen the socket screws pull it away from the wall and you’ll be able to see which direction the cable runs,

The cables could run on any direction. If you unscrew the socket and take a look inside you will see what direction the cables run

You'll be safe doing this if you do not stick your fingers behind the socket

you can get detectors which beep if there is an electrical signal when you press them to sections of wall

wiring regs allow wires to be ran either vertically or horizontally from an appliance. I.e. the socket. This means they could come from above or below or even straight across although this is less common. Other zones to be aware of are within 150mm of any corners and the ceiling and behind skirting or coving.
There is a good diagram in the electrical wiring regs that shows it really clearly.
in short the cables could run up from the socket. The easiest way to tell is to remove the socket face from the wall and see which way they run into it. Also I’d reccomend a cheap live line teaser if your drilling a wall as a final check.

Cables can run approx 6" from centre of socket either horizontal or vertical as these are the wiring zones pull socket forward you will be able to see whether they run up or down etc.

Hey Matt you can use gripfill or no more nails to glue the board on if you can't drill holes.

Matt, you can avoid the guess work by using drill depth stops. You can find them at any hardware store. Adjust it to the thickness of the drywall, that way you won't drill any deeper and risk touching a wire. I also recommend using a masonry bit, not a wood bit. If you happen to touch a wire the bit won't cut into it as easily as a sharp wood one.

Download a stud finder app on your iphone or bnq/homebase sell stud finders for about 20 quid. Will be the fafest wat to find out where cables or beams are. Or get the bodge master harry main over to do some harry maintenance for u. On second thoughts just buy a stud finder. Happy new year mate

Matt, as per other comments - isolate the circuit and drop the socket off and see which direction the cables are running. Depending on where the room is, they're likely running either vertically up or down.

Matt as others have said you need to unscrew the socket face and carefully pull it away from the wall. You will then be able to see the cables behind it. There should be two cables as it is a ring main and If they are routed to go straight upwards you will not be able to drill holes safely. If the cables go out either left/right or downwards you should ok. To be really safe an electric cable tester can be used to check the wall. Not that expensive to buy and easy to use. About a tenner from screwfix.

What they said below is spot on! Take it off and have a look.

Wires usually run vertically, by tapping on the wall you'll hear hollowed sounds when you come across a solid sound there's a beam located right behind it where the wires are attached to.. Any where you tap that the sounds are hollow then you good to drill screws or whatever your choice may be

How long is the hose for your brake and how many times does it wrap around your stem

Usually run down from the ceiling to the plug but may be on the side of stud so you may be able to make it work. I’d just pull it out and take a look.
