Well let's see this episode was a cross between the movies Clue and The Exorcist well a G rated version at least LOL! The best part was seeing Janice appearing atthe end of the episode. Also Magic wasn't in this episode!🙄🤔🧟‍♀🎃

A couple other channels are total shields for this show just because there's a non-binary guy in it.

Such an unbelievable terrible show, poor casting, terrible writing. You can watch any episode of the original and each one is like a self contained movie with good story, acting and you feel for the characters. There was often a moral message contained in each episode, rights v wrong. This new show is lazy and very woke, I assume its written by the generation z crowd.

I just discovered the show actually got made today and been looking around YouTube at the opinions. Below is mine that I left on a channel that was hoping for the best but worried and frankly their audience seemed a little woke so I left this message:

What’s missing from this new Quantum Leap most of all is Scott Bakula. Scott for decades wanted to do another Quantum Leap series but ultimately when getting the scripts for this show and seeing what they wanted to do with Sam turned it down. He has nothing to do with this series and without him it’s not really Quantum Leap. Without the beating heart of Sam and his compassion for the common man it’s just not the same.
So if this version isn’t good enough for Scott it’s not good enough for me either. I have a feeling they wanted to screw over Sam just like they screwed over Luke in those horrible sequels. Mark was not strong enough to turn it down even though he’s stated he didn’t agree at all with where they took Luke Skywalker going so far to call this Disney version Jake Skywalker.
I highly suspect in this age of trashing legacy characters and hating on white males in particular Scott Bakula saw just how horrible they were going to treat Sam and bowed out of the whole mess.

This new show looks very woke!
Quantum Leap was not woke it didn’t hate on white people or any other group. It showed the imperfections of each character and how Sam did his best to help them and used history as a backdrop to the moral story being taught. Nowadays rarely are any morals being taught no now it’s just about virtue signaling about how horrible white people and straight people are and how wonderful gay and nonwhite people are. It doesn’t teach any lesson but hate for one group and simping to the other.
Maybe this new show will improve and not be so woke like so many shows are now but again if Bakula turned it down he had good reasons and out of respect for him and the treasure of the original series I have no plans to watch any other show taking the Quantum Leap name unless Scott Bakula is at the helm.

I laugh every time you say " disappointed fiance" Thank you so much for watching this so I don't have to. Leap was one of my all time favorites growing up. I am old enough to remember watching this when it was on TV. I was hooked from the pilot. What a great show it was. What a shame it is, truly.

There were a couple of supernatural episodes in the original series. One were Sam leaped into a paranormal investigator and a character ended up being a ghost. In the other Sam leaped into a vampire, which he didn't think was real until he discovered he didn't have a reflection. All were done really well.

Lead actor guy can actually act? That is a surprise! And like you point out, what is the point of going back in time if you ignore historical context and spirit of the times. The SpoilerTV site lists the show as in a 'danger bubble' to be cancelled, one step away from 'likely to be cancelled', so they better find a way to leap into some better shows real soon (aka, dropping a truckload of cash in Bakula's lap). I just discovered your channel and I really enjoy it! I love your humor! I'm a huge fan of the original QL, but so far I've only seen the first episode of this new series and am not impressed. My question is 1934? What happened to the concept of only leaping within one's own lifetime? Did I miss something?
