How Rust helps Ather receive 60TB vehicle data each day

Ather Energy builds fast and intelligent electric scooters. Every vehicle that Ather has on roads today is generating roughly about a gigabyte worth of data before compression and sending it to the cloud.
80,000, scooters roughly, half a million of riders per day and if you look at the raw data that gets ingested in Ather's data storage, it is roughly about 1 billion per second.
The hardware is about 2GB of RAM. For any cost that comes into processing this data is an additional costs for Ather to maintain in the pipeline. The software engineering team at Ather adopted Rust to save every ounce of memory.

I feel like they were made up a mind to just talk about rust. They should have compared it with C++ or C.

Why not C++? I wanted to understand if they tried C++ as well?

Why would you compare rust with python and go? I can tell without comparing that rust will be faster. Go is 80 times faster than python and since go is garbage collected it will be slower than C++ and rust. So if you wanted to compare you should have used C++ or ZIG. Useless video
