Part 2 - Valley Installation:
• For open valleys, install 24 to 26-gauge corrosion-resistant flashing with a 1-inch center crimp.
• Flashing should extend 10 inches in each direction for slopes of 4:12 or greater and 14 inches for slopes less than 4:12.
• Leave a minimum 4" opening at the top of the valley, graduating 1/2" per 8 linear feet down the slope.
• A double W valley with 1-inch minimum crimps may also be used.
• For closed valleys, a single corrosion resistant 24 to 26-gauge W crimp valley flashing may be used with a minimum 2 1/2-inch center rib or other industry-proven flashing practice.
• Cut shakes flush with the diverter.
