Math Functions, Embedded Data, Thresholds in Qualtrics

In this video, we will explore how to use math functions, embedded data, and thresholds in a survey. By performing a math function between two survey questions, we can determine if a customer meets a certain threshold and show additional questions or redirect them to another survey. In the example provided, we ask the respondent's average salary and the salary of their spouse, and use pipe text to show the results of their answers. If the total combined salary is greater than 60,000, we show an additional question. To achieve this, we can use embedded data fields and insert math functions between the two survey questions using the dollar sign E and curly brackets. We can also use branch logic to show questions based on the results of the math function. If you have any questions, feel free to leave a comment or reach out to me on LinkedIn. Thanks for sharing your knowledge in this video! If the entered spouse salary includes commas or decimals, do you have to create perameter limits to the input field to exclude puncutation to successfully calculate the user's input?
