Watch this video and wrote down the details like angles and lengths. Then using a old high school shop class lesson, I drew out a 'pictorial' view of the project. I decided to make mine the same height and width similar to another set of horses in my shop. So mine have 35 inch I beams and are 32 inches high. My drawing exposed the fact that if you want the bottom of the leg to stand flat on the floor, you need to cut that bottom end with a 17° angle. Also my legs come flush to the ends to add a piece of 1/2 plywood to each end tracing from top of I beam to bottom of I beam to form a triangular gusset leg supports. I attached plywood pieces with 2 inch construction screws. Very strong, stackable and I now have 4 horses that are exactly the same height. Comes in handy for cutting 4 x 8 sheets of plywood and OSB.

I built these and they are great! I had some trouble getting the legs on but after a couple of hours of trial and error I mastered them! Thanks for the great instructional DIY video!

I put a piece of scrap 2x6. Over the top 2x4 on mine easy to replace when it gets messed up. Love these very simple

finally a video of real onsite saw horses. So many other videos showing complicated angles and notching. using squares and chisels. When i get to a job site all thats there is a power chord and a circ saw. No one is giving us 2 hours to build a saw horse. This is very close to how we do it. Time is money, youre not making money on fancy saw horses

Now use some scrap plywood to tie in the legs under the I beam, inside and out and the horses will never fail.

Drive your screws 1/2" deep in the top 2x4 to keep any cuts away from them. Don't want to ruin a saw blade.

I made a sawhorse 24 in high 24 in long to hold my sprinkler on. I put a coat of old motor oil on it . a little over kill but fun to make with scrap 2x4's

Just deconstructed an old 40 ft X 37 1/2 ft beauty shoppe; need to build a 6X8 ft lean to shed, and in desperate need of sawhorses. Thank you for keeping it simple! Would you happen to have easy to understand instructions for a shed?

What tips about the legs did you divulge at the end?

INSTEAD OF SCREWING SIDEWAYS, I WOULD HAVE TURN THE I BEAMS ON END, JUST AN OBSERVATION, GOOD JOB.

I watched about a minutes worth, and if you can't afford a couple cheap Harbor Freight Clamps, why should I think your horses are better? Just telling you what I see.

I had to cut the volume all the way because of that annoying
sound (Music?) It also stopped
me from subscribing.
