Owned mine for a year. Really appreciate the options this jacket presents. Unfortunately, I've gone down at low speed on both sides on pavement, but the jacket did a great job protecting my arms, elbows, and shoulders.

I’ve had this jacket for about six months. I wore it on a recent 8600 mile ride to Alaska and the Arctic Circle and back (SoCal) where the weather was between 35f and 65f degrees every day. I was extremely happy with it and glad I bought it before the trip. In addition, it rained every single day of the 15 days that it took getting up there and back home. The jacket with the accompanying rain jacket kept me dry in some pretty rough rain and hail. Not the best walking around jacket, but on the bike it shines.

I love mine, 5‘-7“, 170lbs and I bought a large. I probably should’ve went with a medium, the large is just a bit long on me but I have a 70inch wing span so the sleeves are perfect. The extra room around the body of the jacket allows me to wear layers if I want. It’s comfortable with the sleeves removed and all vents open in 85 degree humid weather. Coldest I’ve ridden in it was probably 50 degrees and I was fine with everything zipped up in just a light long sleeve underneath. Love the versatility and all the pockets. The sleeves are easily storable along with the rain cover, a hat to hide the helmet hair and a pair of flip flops hahah. Plus my phone, sun glasses, and wallet. It’s pretty amazing how much storage this thing has.

The jacket is fantastic. Had mine for about 9 months. Super comfortable and flows a ton of air when moving. I’ve worn it in 100 degree heat in Zions National Park and was great. Still super hot when stopped though…

It’s also not super comfortable when unzipped and walking around due to the design. The side pockets are completely useless, but the front pouch is great for snacks and holding my gloves when not riding. The back pouch is actually genius for rain gear, I rode 4 hours at 80mph and it didn’t ever feel like it was gonna fall out.

Also the kidney belt Velcro has started to lose its grip and sometimes will come undone (but this is actually removable from the jacket so I think I’m gonna have someone sew on some new Velcro).

I had one for a little while, probably not a jacket you want in a warm environment, I found it quite hot. I also felt the material was quite abrasive, it really rashed up my neck quite quickly and even started to wear on my riding gloves. I ended up selling it.

Could you put a hydration bladder in the back anywhere?

I wouldn't necessarily buy this jacket because i don't wear the "snowboarders lost in the woods" style, but i will say it is a well thought out jacket when it comes to functional details. The side pockets, the removable sleeves, and other details including the smart layering are really thought through. Well done, Alpinestars!

It is a good jacket to use on the city or touring ?

@revzilla thoughts on this jacket vs something like the Bionic Tech V2 with a shell for abrasion on the highway? Seems like this is a great step in the off-road direction! I was planning to replace my destroyed Revit Sand 2 suit and go body armor w/ jersey and simple shell jacket, but this has me wondering...
