I have a theory. It’s a yeast or fungus that builds up in these peoples systems. While most people would get a blazing rash that feels like the skin is on fire, but in this case it’s so bad that their skin actually does catch on fire. Maybe they have ruled that out.

I remember seeing this thing when I was super young, my memories is really hazy so I can't provide much. But there's two clips in particular...

1. Guy in wheelchair, covered in bandages or something, lights cigarette, starts in fire, barrels down some stairs

2. Some guys at a party, they shoot a gun into the armor, bullet comes back down and hits something. Maybe the grill next to them?

I've looked everywhere and I really wanna know what these are from so if any of you could help me that would be amazing. It was a TV show I think

As someone who survived spontaneous combustion I can verify most of the information on this video. It happened in 1986 in Branson Missouri. Luckily the flames were doused immediately due to a blizzard. But I missed 3 days of work while recovering.

for spontaneous combustion to occur, doesn't the substance have to rise above ignition temperature? wouldn't he be in pain before ignition occured?
