Olafur Arnalds - Frysta (Remake Ableton Live)

This is my remake of Olafur Arnalds Frysta. It was made in Ableton live. This video is how I make music like Olafur Arnalds. I wanted to know how he made this Frysta song so I made a remake/tutorial.

He uses very soft piano, and really slow emotive strings. The tempo is really slow. In this project the piano and strings are quantized to the grid, while he records all the instruments so his songs have more flow-y feeling.

As you can see the piano keeps repeating itself while the string go in and out and provide kinda harmonic background. The climax is probably where the cello comes in.

If you want to make music similar to him, I suggest u pick his sheet notes and study what he does. You can find the music sheet here:
