How FM21 Let’s You Create Your Own Tactical Style

Football Manager 2021 has a new emphasis on media and interaction, but now you can create your own tactic. This is when FM21 boosted my ego too much. Zealand-ball is on the rise across the world. This is not a new feature for Football Manager 2021 that is going to change lives, but a lot of small things add up to a big thing, and having your own tactic philosophy heralded as the second coming just might do it for me. There are some other great Football Manager features here too of course, because that’s what I do. Make videos about FM21 features.

I do not think the slowing trickle of features means there is a large lack of features coming soon. The recent blog on the match engine certainly shows FM21 has plenty of tricks up its sleeve. But, I’ll always be honest, on the Football Manager scene and everywhere, and I think they’re starting to reach for these small features on FM21. As far as they will affect your every day save, it’s just not as consequential. I still think this will be a good iteration of the game and can’t thank SI enough for getting it out. I always feel weird about putting goal bonuses in a contract for a striker.

I bet the odds of the player accepting the clause will depend on the age of the players involved. I would not be surprised if the potential new signing will turn it down if the player they are replacing is younger. On the flip side if the player they will replace is in their 30s then they will be more likely to agree.

ZealandBall would be the players standing perfectly still for 2 minutes every quarter of an hour while the manager pauses the game.

Something similar to registration rules thing could be reminders that your player is suspended or one yellow card from suspension. For example, you are going to play cup game but three days later you play important league game and your 1st choice left back is suspended for that league game. You wouldn't play him in the cup game so he is ready to go for the league game but you forgot he is suspended and he ends up not playing for 2 games straight. I think that kind of reminder would be useful.

Having the ability to ask a player to be a member of staff is HUGE for lower level managers. I'm talking real LLM, like Scottish L2 - where getting staff is one of the biggest challenges you will face.

They need to make it so that if you offer a contract that says in x years you will be this level of player. During the next contract they should demand that level in their contract immediately unless you have a chat and tell them why they aren’t.
