I've noticed that of all the vocal range videos of Whitney, none of them are on this album right here. I truly think it is underrated and while her voice is far from it's prime, she was still truly capable of incredible vocal moments. I like how much control she had in her lower register, always her weakest point in her prime, she could manipulate the texture and fullness of her low notes with ease. We also see how much drugs effected her beautiful head voice as her upper range dramatically decreased. Thanks for watching! Like, comment and subscribe :)

This album was not bad, vocally, actually. Listening to this video, she doesn't use or show off much of her range, however, she makes up with it by playing around with different runs and riffs. Her head voice was surprisingly unclear, as well, but, as you said in the description, that's just affected her voice was due to her lifestyle.

This is refreshing. A video about arguably the best voice ever with a candid truth you don't often see. Her voice was in a decline here (headvoice clearly) but her lows were better and her belts were still beautiful. The flaws don't take away from her vocal legacy. Interested in what you got coming up.

I love this album. "You light up my life", "Try it on my own", "Tell me no" are masterpieces. So sad, we didn't get any life performances except a few, where she was on drugs, or had some problems with her voice. It was quite a dark period of time for her. I hope that now she's safe with God, whom she trusted and believed :(

The only video with an high lightened analysis of this album vocal range. Could you do one for Whitney (1987) and My Love is Your Love (1999)?

She was by far a wonderful Mezzo-Soprano (her mother agreed with this and so many accrediated vocal coaches and voice teachers have also come to this conclusion.) Sadly she didn't feel the same way or otherwise, she wouldn't have never touched drugs to harm her God given talent.
