I'm in uni now, but I've been reading some of the amulet books again and they still have that same magic as they did in junior school. Massive props to Kazu Kibuishi for creating a story so timeless and can be enjoyed again almost 8 years later.

Oh man nostalgia overload. I remember first reading these in elementary school, it felt everybody there knew about Amulet and every time our class got the new scholastic flyers the newest book was the first thing we’d look for, love this series so much. I was worried for a bit with how long Kazu Kibuishi took to get this out but it’s finally here and I bought the whole series just to get caught up!

I'm really young compaired to most others here, only being 17 when the last book will come out but this series was my entire elementary and middle school life and when I saw the date for the last book I got super excited and decided to re read the entire series to remember what happend. But I'm not sure if I'm the only person to think this but i kinda felt let down when I re read it, its like that T.V show or video game you played when you were really young but when you re visit it, its no where near as good as you thought it was. I don't want to be rude because this series started STRONG in my opinion, and I'm still gonna get the new book but, I felt extremely confused and let down with the direction the series was taking. I have no clue if anybody agrees with me but have any of you actually sat down to re read the entire series? Its genuinely hard for me to talk about this cause it was such a big part of my childhood. The art is absolutely amazing there are panels that are just so powerful and grand in which I love them. But I feel like the main issuses started with book 7 and onwards.

My older sisters friend gave me book four of this series. I haven’t read any of the others. I saw some of the previous books at school so I started reading. Eventually I asked for all the books on my birthday. I read them all. About 4 years after I finished them this book comes out. I just finished reading it and I think it was the best ending this series could have had. I will always be thankful for my sisters friend introducing me to this series.
