This is pure genius. I use so much tape trying to have them all line up perfectly and this year I thought I'd search YouTube hoping for answers. You are truly a lifesaver. Thank you so much for this video😍😍😍

I followed the video and put up my lights two years ago and they look great. It was a little tough pushing the wires in the track but well worth the effort. Now every year I just buy new tape and put up the tracks around my windows in no time. And they look great from inside and outside. Thank you for the video.

This is thee ultimate answer and solution to freaking taping the damn lights with 3M clear tape and having them all crooked and twisty out of line! Thank you!

I'm always OCD about having our Christmas lights frame our windows perfectly from the street and this looks like a simple way to do it without too much effort or hassle -- thanks for the tip, much appreciated!

We do the same thing. It's great but sometimes hard to push the wire in. It is worth it though. All the lights are nice and lined up.

swaldo2000 I suppose you could use Command Adhesive hooks, attaching the strips to the paneling end cap instead of to the packaged hooks. One little tug on each one and they'll come off nicely.

Mike Hanna - I got an email that you commented, but the comment does not show up here. Don't know why. But I will respond. You are correct in my location. Very impressive. I take it you are familiar with the area too. I got the tracks at Home Depot (Woodhaven). Haven't looked to see if they still carry the stuff. It's been a few years.

I was so excited when I saw this. So many years of using tape and time spent putting up lights in the windows. I went to Home Depot near my house and bought the only cap moulding they stock, brought it home and it is too small to fit lights in. Frustrated, I then went to the nearby Menards and same thing, same size. The size I got at Home Depot is bigger than what is shown in the video, so I don't get it. Another year just swearing under my breath with each piece of tape used.

Of course it would be someone from Pa with this ingenious idea.

I suppose if the window were to frost or get really cold this wouldn't work
