This is the fourth time I've watched this video! Excellent breakdown! Having not done anything but recreational swimming, I needed the elements explained. I have my first triathlon ever this weekend and this was a timely tutorial!

Its an Ironman 70.3 but thanks for the analysis!
I’ve been working on extending my hand entrance out in front and noticed that helps with alignment crossover and setting up the catch properly.
Lots of stuff to work into my drills!
I think the kick will be the last thing I try to change, excited to try the faster stroke rate and wider recovery

I notice that a lot of intermediate swimmers tend to enter close to the head, angling inwards toward the centerline. But on the catch, as they rotate the shoulders, the arm extends into a decent catch position. Besides recommending a longer, shoulder-width entry, do you have any suggestions?

@Effortless Swimming Looking at Core Principle #1, you talk about relaxed shoulders and in order to to this, to lift your sternum, think chest out and relax between the shoulder blades. Often I have been told to press my sternum down, eg. "pressing the buoy" in order to keep a straighter posture and stay in balance. I think this is a contradiction, your thoughts on this? I am a very slim male swimmer, so I always have to work hard and try different ways to keep a good posture in the water.

His left arm doesn't pull all the way to the back. I do the same and trying to change that.
