Thousands attend funeral of woman killed by Hamas at music festival

The family of a 24-year-old woman who was killed by Hamas militants at a music festival in southern Israel Saturday went online and asked if 10 people would attend her funeral, because the family had just moved to Israel and didn't know many people. About 10,000 Israelis showed up.

She visited her family in Rio, Brazil just one month ago! They were very touched by all of these people showing up to honor her. The music festival is from a Brazilian brand and many attended from Brazil who were living in Israel. I am deeply sorry and extremely sad with all the suffering and all this situation. We are in 2023 and we still have people acting like animals.

Bruna Văleanu, killed by Hamas, is half brazilian and half romanian, her mother and sister are romanians. Her family name is correctly spelled "Văleanu" which is a romanian name (and the letter "ă" is only in the romanian language). In Romania, she is considered more romanian than brazilian, but in Brazil she is considered brazilian because she was born in Brazil. She had israelian citizenship, and she moved in recent years from Brazil to Israel together with her mother and sister. When she was killed by Hamas, at the music festival, she was a student at an university from Tel Aviv, she was 24 years old. Because her only relatives in Israel are her mother and sister, and 10 persons need to be at any funerals in Israel, they invited on social media any people to come, so 10.000 israelis went at her funeral. These informations are from the press from my country, Romania, where all major national TV channels and newspapers presented her as having romanian origins.
