If those ruins were so recent, why are they below the surface? Earthquakes? It's had to believe the lake expanded to that depth in less than 1000 years.
Turkey is a giant museum. There are lost civilizations everywhere there.

Even if it’s medieval, it’s history and should be preserved and studied.

Having AI create the narrative makes for some errors. The descriptive nuance of the word for "castle" is not the same as "palace." I do believe we've just heard our first AI interpretation of a compiled text. That may actually be more interesting than the history.

Fascinating of course. But the still shots are unimpressive, there is no sketch or pattern to illustrate what was found, and is it a castle or city or both....It's a muddled presentation.

Urartu is Assyrian pronouncing of Ararat- which are current Armenians. By the way they were links with their neighbors in the east- Hitites which is English version- original name is Khateh/Khet.
This is turkey trying to whitewash history as part of their bigger picture of total cultural destruction and eliminations of anything Armenian.

Urartu is Armenian Kingdom. Yerevan, the name of capital if Armenia, comes from Erebuni. Turkey was established in 1453 AD.

Fun fact : Armenians have been there for over 7800 years.. turkey only occupied it a 100 years ago

The Cold Water flagellants should do more research themselves before pontificating from their ‘Ivory Towers’ on obviously incredibly ancient stone structures hundreds of feet below the surface.
