The “pvz 3 imp” is actually a redesign by the WCHB team. They were working on a fan game that got almost instantly shut down by EA’s greed mere weeks after announcing the shift from art project to fangame development.

PVZ1: Classic, recognizable, iconic, nostalgic, there’s so many single words to use for the artstyle in this game. It’s very stylistic and has a lot of personality to it. Yet I think it’s still somehow quite underrated.

PVZ2: cute, acceptable follow-up. The artstyle is just basically an upgraded version of the OG. Though the newer plants kinda stick out, it’s initially a pretty decent retake.

PVZ3: very wild shift and change, although I will say I actually kinda like it on some plants. It’s very cute, and the style itself is way more dynamic and expressive compared to PVZ2. This only applies to some plants though. Some others just look really odd. Mainly peashooters.
