this song really makes you feel like you’re a mystic golem waking up from a 300 year nap and doing the robot

The irony of this song it’s so calming and serene yet the level was one of the most difficult.

This song and Stickerbrush symphony used to make me feel very emotional in a depressing way, yet I loved both songs. So sometimes I wouldn't even listen to it just because of the mood it out me in. I've grown a lot from those times. This song still makes me feel emotional, but in a very warm and heart felt way these days.

David Wise did NOT have a reason to make the OST of a game about monkeys so beautiful, yet he still did it. Thank You David. And thank you Sam for remastering it.

I can hear the "Ha Ha Ha!" And the sound of the ghost ropes when I close my eyes. Brilliant restoration!!

Everyone talks about Stickerbush Symphony, but I believe this is the masterpiece of DKC2. David Wise even said himself that this is his favorite track from this game. It's kinda amazing that this was on a SNES, and the restoration makes it sound even more amazing.

I like the way you ended it, by the way.

And people say that games are just games, bruh, they pure and modern art, since the begining, starting with the masterpieces they give with artwork, soundtrack, stories, is something that not even movies can transmit, and not only that, but also the love and details they give into the games to those who play videogames are their lives, like me and us all, gamers since we were kids ♡

The first time in my life that I recall stopping in a video game just to appreciate the music was when I was 7 years old playing through this game for the first time in an age before the internet, before there was an available soundtrack, and it was specifically on this level. I had never heard anything so majestic and I rarely ever have since.

QUICK! Somebody send this masterpiece to David Wise the man himself! This was his favorite composition of the entire dkc2 soundtrack and the one he was the most proud of getting woking on the snes hardware!

I think David Wise has said this was the track he was most proud of getting to work on the SNES, this sounds so faithful to the original, I'm really impressed as always.

I really didn't appreciate the melancholy in this song until I was older. Thank you so much!

So glad I was able to witness all of this glory during the 90s.

The first 18 seconds of this song—and again at 2:10—I don't know what kind of "instrument" it's made with, but when I was a kid playing this game, I used to think it was the two monkeys singing, lamenting. This game always had a sad, melancholic vibe for me, in contrast to the first one, which felt happy. Donkey Kong Country 1 and 2 are still my all-time favorite games.

David Wise knows how to make Tribal Ambient, Progressive Electronic, New Age music like Deep Forest, or even a bit similar to Dead Can Dance. Is so great that he makes music for video games, because those genres are not common in gaming.

When the soundtrack of a video games causes people to write deep introspective comments about the simplicity of childhood. This song really does invoke such a well of emotion for me.

The soundtrack from DKC2 was way ahead of it's time.

This song is like revisiting memories of the past, both with regret and fulfillment. It evokes the feeling that you’ve been through so much, but now you are finally at peace with yourself.
