Originally titled, "A Mystical Interpretation of the Sermon on the Mount: The Most Important Words of Jesus" (Lecture Note 285). This lecture was delivered on December 17, 1961 in Los Angeles, and takes a look at the Sermon and Beatitudes from a mystical - not literal or dogmatic - point of view.

Mr. Hall points out that the Sermon on the Mount puts forth a set of ideas that many people think are impossible to attain. However, Hall goes on to describe the hidden meaning behind the words and describes how we can incorporate them in our lives, here and now.

That's for the upload. This channel is one of the best on YouTube. I was just thinking mph sounds young in this then seen it's from 61.

“Peace begins within the individual wanting to live rightfully with the laws of the universe “.
The way of righteousness demands honesty which is so bloody hard (imo).
The way he starts the lecture hits the nail on the head: you cannot make others live in a certain way.
It’s our own deed, efforts and progress.
Thank you for uploading.
Beautiful Manly P. Hall. 🍃

I can approach this particular lecture from another angle that is equally unique.
This is advance level of comtemplation, and i don't claim to understand it all, but i do believe i understand something. I'm really glad I discovered the work of this great man.

How I wish I could have sat in a room with this wonderful man to hear his wisdom flow. I have never known of anyone who really understands what life in this universe is all about but MPH got closer than most. He literally gave us a lifetime of study material and I thank you for providing such a wonderful resource through your channel to explore it all.

Peace through pain is a really beautiful concept when you think about the deeper implications involved with just everyday life I've met some people who are dying of cancer that have lived a more purposeful life full of life living everyday like it was their last and it made me question my life it was I merely existing or living and I've seen such miserable people who have so much life ahead of them yet they're miserable and don't even live life so peace through pain is a very beautiful concept and there's an acceptance there when you let go of that it also reminds me of one of my favorite passionate rock climbers who always spoke of inner in his interviews that he wanted to die doing what he did he loved doing and in the beginning of his video that led to his tragic death you see him struggle for a moment he claws at the air at nothing and that the last few moments he lets go and there's a beautiful morbid piece there that I till the state haunts me and it reminds me to live my life to the fullest I've met adults who have never left the state their cities who've never traveled and done much and they've come to an old age and it makes me wonder if they really have lived life I've met people who don't have much wisdom and they're older than me and knowledge and you know living on both sides of the spectrum there is a beautiful piece that comes from seeing both the good and the bad and to cherish that and not take it for granted it's very beautiful that manely peel Hall till this day his lecture speak volumes to us especially those who are seeking an escape from the materialistic world into climb those ladders away from the realm of lights so to speak

Right on time 🎯 Just read the sermon on the mount by emmet fox, in the process of completing positive constructive thinking by emmet fox as well, thoroughly inclusive of the secret metaphysical keys of Christ’s teachings ..very much reviving my faith in such things as well
