Conducting a Kuder-Richardson 20 Test (KR-20) in SPSS

This video demonstrates how to perform a Kuder-Richardson 20 (KR-20) test of internal consistency in SPSS. The KR-20 is used to evaluate internal consistency among dichotomous variables.

Hi, Todd. Thank you for the great vid. It really helped me a lot. However, I've got a question. I created a survey which is divided into three sections.

Section one has got a question that if answered 'NO', people do not need to go on with it. Section two has 12 items that have to be answered if section one was answered with a 'YES'.

Section two aims at getting feedback from an induction programme some people got by again answering 'YES' or 'NO'.

And finally section three is a question in the form of a likert scale that asks people to assess the induction process they received. (not useful, a bit useful, useful, very useful and extremely useful).

Now in order to measure the internal consistency of this instrument, what would be the best way to go about it? Thank you very much, I really appreciate your taking the time to answer this.

Thank you for the video. I would like to know can we use both cronbach alpha and KR-20 in the same study? since i have nominal, dichotomous and likert scale questions in my questionnaire. Should i only use KR-20 for the three types of items? or use KR-20 for nominal and dichotomous items and cronbach alpha for the likert scale items? Waiting for your reply. Thanks

Data was collected from 340 respondents by using a structured questionnaire that has only 4 questions.
My question is:
What are the appropriate tests that measure reliability that can be done in such a case (4 questions)?
or
How can I defend that "not performing a reliability test in my manuscript text"?
N.B. I used a mixed-methods research methodology in three sequential phases (exploratory, descriptive, and explanatory). The mixed-methods research methodology consisted of two parts. 1) A quantitative cross-sectional study using a structured questionnaire, (my question about this part, a structured questionnaire has 4 questions). This was preceded and followed by 2) Two mutually-exclusive qualitative studies (exploratory and explanatory) using semi-structured questionnaires.

Dr. Grande, thank you very much for your insights in ussing SPSS. I would like to ask for your assicstance regarding the measure of variable when performing a reliability analysis. Should I set the variable measure in variable view window as Ordinal or Scale when the data comes from 7 point likert scale? As far as I know data from Likert scale measurments are Ordinal in nature. thank you for this video. I have developed a questionnaire and want to ascertain the reliability and validity. But the values in my questionnaire are not dichotomous and the respondent has the option to mark more than one response...How do i find the reliability and validity of such a questionnaire?
