Moment T-Series Wide 18mm lens review

This is the first of the Moment's new T-Series lenses I have reviewed and I want to test it to it's limits. I'll also be figuring out if it's even worth having an external wide lens in 2024. Enjoy this in depth review of Moment's new Wide 18mm T-Series lens!

I love the T-series. I have the M series for my iPhone 13 mini and it was very good, but when I got the new iPhone 15 Pro Max, there was no hesitation on my part to get the T series of Moment lenses. I got the package they were offering at a discount - 18, 58, and 1.33 Anamorphic - gold. That covers so much ground in my needs. They are really what any serious videographer using the new generation of phone users need to up their game.

Thanks for the review. I have an Android phone(s24ultra) and bought a Freewell 1.33x amorphic lens with a filter set. I will buy the wide-lens and I have to buy the Freewell too because I don't have to buy extra filter sets. I watch Iphoneographer(Blake Calhoun)(YouTuber). He compared with Sandmac, Moment, Beastgrip, and others on his YouTube side and gave Freewell Sherpa lens a high mark(one of the top manufacturers). Moment lenses are lighter than Freewell or Beastgrip. I'm waiting for the Phone cases from Freewell and Neweer for Galaxy s-24Ultra. Neweer Cage takes Moment T series lenses.

I wish there was a grip to have these lens and use my pro mist filter from my dslr.

Do you know if the 67mm Mobile Lens Filter Mount (all series) works with this? I don't understand how it fits. Moment's website states "removable front ring allows 67m filter adapter to be mounted" under this product you're showing. (I'm trying to get a filter over this) Thanks!

Aside from the field of view, does this lens have the same characteristics as the Moment Lens Wide V2 side by side on a Fuji Film 14mm f2.8?

And the moment lens v2 is sharp yet cinematic similar to supertakumar 55mm f1.8.
