She's also not the waggliest of babies, but she'll peak happy drop her ears, wag, and bounce when I walk through the door after work. She's a good girl and is her own baby as much as mine! ❤

1 of my dogs does 11 of 12. Another does 9 or 10 of these. He doesn't kiss me as much as he used to, but he's 18 1/2, so maybe he thinks he's too grown up. 😉😊😋 The last one probably does 7 or 8.

When I lift weights, my doggie goes "oh good ! Playtime!" And brings her favorite tug-toy.

When we walk, it's for several hours on hiking trails and in nearby fields. Tired dogs are happy dogs

Something they forgot to mention is that a good dog owner knows their pup. Sometimes a dog shows their affection in other ways because of past experiences with other owners (especially if they’re rescues). Example; my dog is part husky but she’s wary of making sounds because she was punished for it before. The fact that she’s getting comfortable barking at foxes and howling at dog videos shows me that she’s starting to feel safe doing so and makes me feel that I’m doing a good job as her owner.

My Pomeranian is NUTS about me. I am mommy to her for sure. She knows of daddy but he doesn’t give her the attention and care that I do. She sometimes will low growl at him when she’s on her back and he’s trying to take her out lol! He’s like why are you growling at me, I say because you’re not mommy. ❤

My girl has NEVER BELONGED TO ANY ONE EXCEP ME! I met her at 3 weeks. Brought her home at 5 weeks . Very easy to train . She is so smart and in tuned with me. She was born in Oct 2020. We go everyplace together. She likes the casino to a good game of fetch!

My current Rottweiler also always "steals" my knitting projects, my used clothes, my blanket, my shoes, etc. He follows me around all the time and watches the door and windows closely when I use the toilet. He seems to think I am vulnerable in this situation.
Before going to sleep, he suckles on my t-shirt between my breasts. 😂 Maybe he believes that I am his mom. 😊
Taking out the trash or getting the mail results in great welcomes, even though I only was gone a minute or two.
He always wants to rest on me, which is quite annoying when temperatures are as high as they are now in summer.
Thorssàl is in puberty at the moment, so maybe he will change a bit when adult.

I don't have a dog yet but love animals and my doggo nephew and niece so much. They do these things with me too. Curious sometimes if they know I'm their uncle. Watch them when their parents away. I find when they expose their stomach they usally want belly rubs though.... Is that why I'm attacked with extra licks when I wake up? lol

The only thing that I never got my dogs to trust me through is thunder, loud noises, fireworks, explosions, and war movies with the sound of falling bombs. All share the loud noise. And, if we are home, they hide in my walk-in closet. Poor babies. For many years, I didn't watch any war movies and turned off the sound if a movie had fireworks, etc. i wish I could help them through those fears. I now have a small dog, and he's NOT afraid of those things, which amazes me.

If were not getting it right theyll tell us! My boy used to sleep with me and he follows me around but greets me on his own terms!h nou od hood security! Ive got druggie break ins constantly! He expisea his syimach but id never touch his stomach or hed attack me! Tail wags mean im bored or annoyed! My baby is extremely affectionate but hates eye contact! Absolutely no prolonged eye contact! My baby rubs against me! My baby talks a lot to me bur leads me to his food bowl or other places then suoervises !my baby runs around at night sleeps during the day! Due to druggies invading our space i sleep a few hours at a time! Gifts no i dont need half dead mice! My boy kisses from time to time! Last night a thunderstorm scared him but no kissing on his part! I do groom my boy! Im not the yop in our relationship im staff who lives to serve his every whim! After all his breed is considered to be a god in thailand!
