Chora Castle Pera Kastro Kalymnos Sept 2014

We set out from Panormos and walked to Pothia, the capital of Kalymmnos. On the way we stopped to climb up to the castle and abandoned village, with its many small churches. Unfortunately, due to the recession in Greece it was open but deserted, with evidence of neglect all around. Nevertheless we spent a very interesting couple of hours wandering round and reading what was left of the information boards.
