I was buying groceries and then the dude bagging them was like “you know who Kobe is right? He just died”
I said man stop playing and went on with my buisness but right when I got to my car I had to look it up. Couldn’t believe it. One of the greats. Gone in an instant. RIP

I’m not a fan of nba so I never knew much about Kobe, I just knew he was an nba player but damn when I heard him and his daughter died, I never thought it would hit me like I was a fan of him.

I remember hearing about Kobe’s death. I live in Australia so we were at a resort celebrating Australia Day and this was during the fires so we were celebrating the bravery of our fire fighters as well. We got really drunk that night and crashed out. The next day, I pop on to my phone and the news is everywhere. Not only did that ruin what was a great weekend but it set all of us up for one of the roughest and darkest years of bad luck

i love how the world just came together when kobe died. literally, everybody told everybody and we all felt the same sadness/disbelief. shit is crazy

I still remember the exact moment I learnt of his passing. I was working and a customer or co-worker mentioned it. Quickly the news spread around the store and everyone began talking about it. It felt so surreal at the time. Just goes to show that life is too damn unexpected. Rest in paradise to all of those who passed
