Small beautiful, country, across the “ pond”, from England 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿.I had never heard this, in the 90, s, until Covid, came knocking, and my family gifted me with an IPad, to keep in touch with me, as am an 83 yr old lady, living alone now. I read, and listen a lot to the wonderful music 🎶 of the 50, s, 60, s70, s🎸🎶☺️👩😮80, s, 90, s, can’t say same for 2000’S. Donna Cruz, and Jason Everly, gave a beautiful rendition of this love song….”Wish”. Jason Everly, is the son of Phil Everly, of the famous Everly Brothers…..Don, and Phil Everly, from a tiny place, called Brownie Ville, ( I think ??), near Iowa, were singing since ages, 3& 5. Had their own radio station, with their parents, and sang and played guitar 🎸, most morning’s, before they went to school, and became experts, from an early age, due to the perseverance, and dedicated tuition of their father, Ike Everly…a master craftsman at the guitar. They gifted young men, and greatly helped along way, by that marvellous guitarist, Chet Atkins. Mark Knophler, ( one of the greatest guitarists ever), was a good friend to the Brothers, also, Albert Lee, world famous guitarist. They became best of the best.Country Rock, Hill Billy, Blue Grass, Folk, And Jazz, …they wonderful, and their harmonies, were untouchable, so close, tight, …pristine, like one voice… they showed everyone…no one could match them, even Beatles, admitted trying to emulate them, but could never quite get it as good. The Brothers ( Don& Phil), helped lots of guitarists, how to master “ guitar riffing”, but nobody, could ever match them, they were incredibleTheir likes, ever again, to be seen. Sadly missed.Both gone now, Phil…2014, and Don…2021.Two very handsome, humble, and gentlemanly young men RIP, Don, & Phil.❤❤.
