Fantastic video Mathew ! There's so many teething problems with getting god quality animated sequences out of UE with Raytracing. This video will reduce those problems down by half.
Please consider doing a follow up on rendering noise free passes as that will help many productions out.
Cheers,
b

Hi Matthew. Really great tutorial . Near the beginning shouldn't Directional and Rect lights be set to Stationary instead of Movable (since the lights themselves aren't moving)?

I really don't understand Render queue anti-aliasing spatial sample settings, I tested this feature whole day and still not understand in which case it's used for?

Nice tutorial. Thank you.
1 question: Does raytrace affect the output/playtime (exe)? Or it's only effect the working viewport and exporting to movie or still images.

Thank You in advance

I feel like he should have mentioned that you can use gtx cards (1660 and better IIRC) for ray tracing with dx12 you just need to add -dx12 to the launcher shortcut and enable it in the render options.. For those that didn't shell out for rtx cards!

Why is the wall so spotty? Is that some kind of ambient occlusion?

At 33:04 did you notice that the moment you turn on the translucent refraction, the image frame near the window immediately turned black. That happen to me as well. I need to turn off the translucent shadow to make it brighter. Does it mean we can't use translucent shadow

Can I ask a quick question. I am using an instance of the glass material, however this and other reflective materials are not affected by lights. It is only taking the reflection and refraction of the space. How can I have a light source refracting in a glass object?
