I am a Meitei from Manipur. I still remember vividly, 10-11 years back when I was in 10th, I stayed in hostel where possessing a mobile phone was prohibited. Nokia5130 Xpressmusic I believe, this song used to be my anthem, which I always used to listen, hum whenever I felt hopeless, unworthy and unloved. It used to heal me n derive strength during my darkest times. I used to sing in the bathroom while taking a bath.
Today, it suddenly struck my mind amidst this ongoing communal conflict between Meetei & Kukis in Manipur which has been going on for almost 5 months now. It still carry the same magical tune today, n m using it as a remedy to go through all the hardship & the tragic events happening on both community.With lots of love and respect for this song from Manipur. 🤍
