The dark lord has got some good moves, but a few of them bluff the threat to throw you off guard. There’s also the third phase cinematic, plus the countdown timer, which can make you manic. However, if you chill out, focus and do what I talk through in the tutorial then you should be able to beat it to save Luigi’s friends and family.

This game has me whipping out my phone a lot just to know how to beat it smh.

I can confidently say that throughout the game, I was able to do 99% of the puzzles without help.
The bosses were a different story.
Thanks for all the tutorials, I don’t think I would have been able to finish the game without them.

This boss was more tedious than challenging.

You got extremely lucky.. It took me 7 tries on the last part because the aim controls are SO BAD most of the time my bombs just flew off into thin air

This would have been a great fight except for three main issues.
1 - Aiming the bombs at his mouth is jank
2 - Sometimes you'll pick up a bomb and before you even get a chance to aim he's already on to his next attack, so you're back to dodging anywhere from 30 seconds to 2 mins.
3 - The 4 min timer on phase 3 is bad design considering I had a run where he didn't toss any ( besides his intial attack ) for 3 mins.
Overall I like the idea of the battle but the execution was poor.

The bomb aiming ruins it. Plus two other bosses had bomb aiming. I think two other bosses. The pianist for sure. But the giant suction outlet stuff should've been the entire boss.

Really wanted to like this game all the way through. Literally had a blast throughout the whole game up until this point. Absolute deal breaker, drops the game from a 9/10 to an 8 for me just because in this fight it doesn't feel like you're in control at all. Terrible aiming mechanics had plagued the series since the first game, so sad to see that they overlooked the aiming controls again.

Finally beat this shiiii! Most important tip I can offer: if ur low on health, don’t attack yet. Collect as many hearts as possible, and when ur in good health then do what you gotta do. Patience is definitely key, I missed out on a lot of turns throwing bombs just so I can get my health back up. And for the last part, like he said be prepared and stand in front of King Boo with the most teeth (the real one) and use the vacuum to pick up any bombs and aim. Be quick with this because you do NOT wanna face 3 ghosts it’s really annoying lol

Your tutorials have really been a lifesaver for me during my playthrough. It's almost bittersweet that I'm watching how to do the final boss, I'm gonna miss looking up tutorials while completely frustrated at the games lack of direction

This boss pisses me off so much. Like if you miss the bomb in the second one where the 2 splits, it did the ENTIRE SEQUENCE FROM LIGHTNING TO SLAM TO FIREBALL 3 TIMES BEFORE DOING THE BOMBS AGAIN!!! Then, the one time I DID get to the multiple bombs, I had way too low HP and DIED RIGHT AT THE FREAKING END AS THE BOMB WENT INTO HIM. LIKE ACTUALLY WANNA DIE RIGHT NOW. so, be patient and be careful and manage health. gotta do it tomorrow or like Wednesday because I have no patience to do it all over again. Thanks for the tips btw, u helped me * almost * win, and technically win because I had no idea what to do. Just mad about the 12 defense turns I had to do

I think Nintendo deliberately made this game confusing because they wanted to test people's intelligence, and they know that you can always look it up on YouTube these days if you're stuck

Also the fact that at the last part the bombs go off In like 4 seconds after being dropped which gives you absolutely NO time to line up the shot because the aiming controls are garbage

I wish that in this fight they constantly shot out bombs from the sides like the fight on the pirate ship, so it didn’t take so long to wait for the bombs to show up, and then maybe they could of done a king kaliente style thing where you have to bounce the bomb back in forth with king boo a couple times.

My son and I were struggling for ages but we LITERALLY just watched this and we completed the game with one last throw!!! lol I’m so satisfied right now. Thank you.
