Amen, I'm glad somebody shares an eternal perspective to this. People don't seem to be phased that they're closer to death today than they ever have been but suddenly we have a physical pandemic and we're all shuddering in fear of death. Fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom. For those who abide in Jesus Christ, there is nothing to fear. Hebrews 2:14-15 tells us that one of the reasons that our Lord Jesus Christ came was to take away the fear of death so that we wouldn’t be in bondage all of our lives. Even in times like this, we have a peace that passeth all understanding. The Holy Bible tells us that these things are to come. I don’t know why we are so shocked when they come. This is a time that God may have given us so that we can take a good look at ourselves, a time of repentance. It’s like a shadow of things to come. It may be a warning to us that will open our eyes and make us realize that we don’t want to be left here during the tribulation period. If you are left here, it will be a time that is so terrible, like has never been seen. (The Book of Jeremiah is like reading today’s newspaper.)
