Cut it out. Weld a piece back. Also after paint matching the spot back always always always put rhino line spray over a portion of the area. It will last much longer.

Fiberglass and bondo lol - I mean unless you wanna spend a lot - weld a new piece over it after cutting out rust- then bondo seams, touch up with spray can 😊

Replace your inner as well as your outer, they make replacements. Or you could remove both and replace with 2x6 box steel and weld in. Either way is about the same.

Cut it out weld a piece of sheet metal on it , hit it with some fiberglass bondo that’s your waterproof, rattle can it black and boom your done

I would cut out old rocker panels weld in 2x6 with braces off frame then you have rock sliders and a step for getting in and out for others as well thats what I did
