Great video! I bet there's a lot of people that know how to do this but need a reminder to keep checking it on a regular basis. There's also the primary fluid, front and rear brake fluids too. When I bought my bike the rear brake fluid was so bad my brakes would go completely out, now I check and replace it often.

Why don't you be a little more specific about these fluid level checks.all you are doing is showing the location of the dip stick, dip stick.
The big question that e ery one is unsure about how to answer is, , , do I check the trans oil level with the dip stick screwed in or not screwed in?.and do I check it at running temp or cold? And should the bike be uprite on the wheels or on the kick stand?
There are about as many a swers as there are people showing the eorld where the dip stick is.i need some particulars if you know what they are!

So do I check the transmission fluid at operating temp or not? And do O screw the threads in or not? I’m asking because I really don’t know lol

I thought you said check it at operation temp but bike was off? Did I hear you wrong?

So, basically, read the manual or ask the dealer. Pretty worthless video for the new person that needs this basic information. Just for example: Does this apply to all Harleys across the board or just certain models or engines? With the oil dipstick not all screw in, some just push in so how far in is far enough? Should this be checked on jiffy stand or not, and for what fluids? Should the engine be hot or cold? None of these critical questions are addressed at all. So, again, thanks for nothing.

Crap vid. For instance - screw in tranny cap or check resting on edge? Hint: DON'T SCREW IT IN!! And always check warm. Not very informative for casual riders. Peace out.

observation: If I were making this I would have highlighted the stick with a Sharpie. . . for all the clueless people apparently who need a video on how to check oil.
