Looking at the live feed with MRN Radio. They are estimating about 28 cars involved in that wreck. Definitely has to be the largest big one in the Gen 7 era. Glad everyone is ok, but definitely sucks for a lot of the drivers.

Using the decades old standard to consider a car "involved" means the 2005 Aaron's 499 still takes the cake at 29-30. Racing Reference only lists 26 but fails to mention at least 3...maybe 4 cars that received damage in the initial contact but kept going straight. 2003 at 27 uses this as a consideration, and if thats what we use....then 2005 is still winning.
