I agree DDP deserves the title shot and others too over Khamzat, but you have to think in order for both Usman and khamzat to accept the change in opponent at the last minute, they had to be given a big incentive. So it was a title eliminator. Colby Covington couldn’t get a title shot when he was on a win streak but now he’s 2 of 2 in his last 4 fights, hasn’t beat anyone top ranked and hasn’t fought in a year and a half and he’s getting the title shot. It’s show business as much as anything. Deals are made and ppl who draw eyeballs get opportunities. It’s not a pure tournament style system.
